Meet Gillian who is the pre-natal yoga instructor for this series. Gillian is also pregnant here during the taping of these video's so it's an exciting time for everyone. Gillian has many years of experience practising yoga, therefore don't feel the need to get as deep into the poses. Make sure you listen to your body and the safety guidelines that Gillian provides.
The standing sequence is great to develop strength in the legs. Building strength will help create energy you will need to carry your growing baby throughout your pregnancy, and physically prepare you for childbirth. Remember balance might be a bit challenging while your body is going through these changes. Have a chair nearby if you think you will need one.
The restorative sequence in pre-natal yoga is a fantastic way to settle your body down and quiet any anxious thoughts you may have.
Consulting a physician before starting an exercise program is highly recommended. iHomeFitness.com will not be held responsible for any injuries obtained during or resulting from the participation in our videos.
