In this video Larry demonstrates Eagle Pose, also known as Garudasana. Eagle Pose strengthens the hips, legs and ankles, as well as loosens the shoulders, upper back, wrists, and hips.
This pose can be challenging for your balance, so Larry shows us how we can use a yoga block to help us stay stable while holding this position.
At iHomeFitness, all of our yoga classes are divided into three 20-minute segments. The first segment of every yoga practise is a gentle warm up. For many beginners it might be sufficient for their day.
The second segment usually consists of more active standing postures. If you are ready to progress from a 20-minute practise, adding the second segment will provide more of a challenge.
Lastly, we often finish with a restorative segment that is more relaxing. If you have already participated in the first two segments or you finished another exercise video, the restorative portion is a great way to cool down the body and release tension in the tissues.
