In this video Leanne takes us through a few variations of boat pose, a great way to strengthen the core muscles. Start with the first variation and work your way up to holding it for longer periods of time while maintaining good technique. Once you've mastered the first variation you may move onto the next.
At iHomeFitness, all of our yoga classes are divided into three 20-minute segments. The first segment of every yoga practise is a gentle warm up. For many beginners it might be sufficient for their day.
The second segment usually consists of more active standing postures. If you are ready to progress from a 20-minute practise, adding the second segment will provide more of a challenge.
Lastly, we often finish with a restorative segment that is more relaxing. If you have already participated in the first two segments or you finished another exercise video, the restorative portion is a great way to cool down the body and release tension in the tissues.
